Growing up in a small Vermont town, I was weaned on the Globe sports section and Sportsfinal causing an unhealthy obsession with Boston Sports. After a failed high school sports career I followed the motto "Those who can't play sports, talk about sports" and began a surreal journey from rural VT to the city life of the Bronx. Attended Fordham Univ where I lucked my way into a radio gig at WFUV covering every professional New York sports team and was put in the unenviable position of having to pretend to like the Yankee players. I returned to New England to work for ESPN and had my faith in sports renewed with the Sox '04 World Series win. While at the Worldwide Leader I enjoyed surreal experiences such as partying with Sean Salisbury and watching an NFL game with Mike Ditka during a year that played out like a real-life Deadspin posting. I spend most of my time now watching 3 football games at once, looking for crazy ways to parlay bets, smack talking about fantasy sports, and searching Youtube for evidence that the Gyroball exists.
